An Insider's view of The Trade Desk

What are some social events your company does?

Monthly happy hours, monthly TTD employee birthday celebrations, quarterly team building events, annual company-wide conference called Palooza in California, sponsoring & hosting meetups, BuiltIn Brews, tube to work day, potluck lunches, holiday parties for both TTD employees & TTD kids!

How do you collaborate with other teams in the company?

I’d say my typical day at The Trade Desk is split up something like this:
• 20% syncing up with the team about ongoing work, including status updates and design discussions
• 15% reviewing platform health and helping to address any issues that may arise
• 10% joking around with friends at the office
• 55% coding new projects

Software Engineer

How do your team's ideas influence the company's direction?

“We aim to catch, test, and fix all points of failure before we sign off on a new integration. We’re also encouraged to think critically about all potential complications and then solve for them with whatever stylistic approach we prefer – all the while facilitating exciting partnerships with our clients. That sounds pretty cool to me.

Integrations Manager

What's something quirky about your company?

We did go-kart racing once. It was a lot of fun. We went downhill biking once, which was insane. There's also a lot of other casual things we'll do, like hold barbecues in the office every once in awhile. One of my co-workers is a very skilled barbecuer, so he'll make some barbecue and we'll do that for lunch and all hang out together
