Recruiter

Guild is reinventing the Education Benefits category - bringing innovation to the tuition reimbursement software and corporate training programs of the Fortune 1000, helping thousands of working adults go back to school and improve their lives. Think Workday or Taleo for Corporate Education Benefits - a $17B market that’s ripe for disruption.

Guild’s education benefits software platform makes offering education as a benefit an easy choice for F1000 companies, with products and features that helps HR leaders turn their education cost centers into a positive ROI. Meanwhile, Guild’s network of online, nonprofit universities and learning providers offer a consortium of classes, programs, and college degrees, along with college advising and retention coaching, helping each student navigate the worlds of work and college.

We are a mission driven, double bottom line company. In late 2016, we closed a $8.5M Series A from top tier investors including Redpoint Ventures, Social Capital, Harrison Metal, and Cowboy Ventures and have expanded from our founding team to more than 50 employees. Our clients include Chipotle Mexican Grill, DaVita Healthcare Partners, HealthOne / Hospital Corp of America, Taco Bell, Denver Public School District, and the Public Service Credit Union. Now we’re ready to grow and need strategic sourcing and recruiting talent to make that possible.

The mission of the Recruiter is to…

…work with the VP of People and hiring managers across the company to build Guild’s team, to advance our approach to sourcing, marketing to and engaging with talent, and to effectively assess and close candidates.

If you join Guild’s team as our Recruiter, you will:

  • Report to Guild’s VP of People, Kendra Haberkorn
  • Work in a position with high visibility supporting leaders across Guild including Britt, Jess, Chandler, Mae, and Terrence
  • Lead hiring efforts for a high volume of roles across the Guild team - this is not a role for a specialist in a specific function or type of roles, you’ll need to flex across departments
  • Discover the best sources for talent and find individuals that have the potential to make an impact for the role we bring them into and for roles and opportunities we have yet to define
  • Assess with expertise and decide with confidence - this is not superficial connect and pass along kind of role - our hires’ success and your own are tied together
  • Work with the team to pursue recruiting innovations and programs that support diversity, inclusion and culture
  • Own sourcing, pipeline development and engagement of candidates for the roles you work on - building lists of viable candidates and developing outreach that resonates and leads to high response rates
  • Create compelling messaging and communications for internal and external channels (e.g. job descriptions, website/careers page, recruiting collateral)
  • Partner with Kendra to evolve our approach to recruiting, interviewing and continually improve our tools, systems and resources
  • Own all aspects of recruiting coordination (scheduling, Greenhouse updates, etc.)

We’ll prioritize the following experience and attributes as we evaluate candidates throughout the hiring process:

  • Evidence of high performance in a similar role/company recruiting across a diverse set of roles
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and achieve outcomes with sophisticated sourcing strategies and methods
  • Ability to assess talent and differentiate performance and potential
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and work under pressure
  • A continuous improvement mindset and the ability to recognize, recommend and take action on opportunities
  • Ability to work with confidential and/or sensitive material
  • A pattern of achievement and progression among talented peers
  • Ability to work alongside different teams and seek out input, keeping a tight feedback loop so that we get better results with each new hiring opportunity
  • A list of references who will endorse your skills and results

Guild Education believes that a diverse and inclusive team will contribute toward our ability to achieve our mission and will dedicate intentional effort to building a team that reflects that belief.
