ShapeShift is seeking a People Operations Partner to assist in HR Operations for this growing organization. The People Operations Partner will be working with managers in driving initiatives for human resources functions, general day-to-day employer relations, and recruiting. The ideal candidate will possess strong organization, time management, and communication skills. This position offers a unique opportunity to grow your professional skills in Human Resources in a FinTech startup within the Crypto space. We are looking for someone who can wear multiple hats and is ambitious and passionate about everything people-related!

This is a full-time position, based in Denver, Colorado, and reports to the Director of People Operations.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Expand and maintain our Annual Stay Interview process with tenured employees (analysis and actions)
  • Conduct post-hire 1-month and 90-day check-ins with new employees to identify areas of improvement or success and ensure engagement and integration with the team and company
  • Oversee employee relations, collaborating with the legal team to ensure compliance and iteration
  • Conduct Exit Interviews for all departing employees and collaborate with the People Operations Specialist on administrative-related tasks
  • Be an HR Business Partner to departments, host weekly check-ins with managers, consult on employee relations issues and procedural guidance
  • Culture Ambassador: measure and represent culture and core values to all incoming, current, and exiting employees 
  • Manage the Performance Review process by running employee and manager trainings, sending out reminders, answering questions, and offering advice
  • Ensure compliance with employment and labor laws while working with our internal legal team
  • Uncover, assess and propose opportunities for HR process improvements
  • Create an environment of positive employee relations by respecting confidentiality, establishing trust and credibility, being seen by employees as approachable and fair, balancing business needs with employee needs
  • Support recruiting efforts by assisting in sourcing, reviewing resumes, performing prescreens, and coordinating interviews

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

  • 4+ years of experience in HR administration or management, recruiting, and/or staffing
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Prior experience in an HR or People Operations role
  • Experience at a growth-stage tech company is preferred
  • Team player who can jump in and support the team on a variety of topics and tasks
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail is essential
  • High sense of urgency and accuracy
  • You share our values and work in accordance with those values
  • Willing to make People Operations as open and transparent as possible
  • Flexibility during periods of rapid change, with the ability to learn quickly and adapt to a changing environment
  • Must be highly organized and a strong communicator
  • Ability to prioritize work and complete projects within a deadline

This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
