Travel: Minimum travel may be required

Base salary range: $95,000 - $135,000

THE OPPORTUNITY

As a People Operations Generalist, you will have the opportunity to own Vivian’s HR processes around onboarding and offboarding of employees, HRIS systems, employer branding and culture, learning and development, payroll and benefits. You will have the ability to drive culture and build from the ground up. 

THE TEAM

Vivian is small and rapidly growing. Our People function is responsible for fostering relationships with, across, and between all other departments within Vivian. As one of the first employees on the People team, there is a great opportunity for growth and personal development.

THE SKILL SET

  • 4 + years of experience in an HR or People role
  • Startup experience is a big plus!
  • Knowledge of of HR compliance and HR Law or the ability to learn quickly
  • Self-directed employee that can thrive in an ambiguous environment
  • Experience with onboarding and offboarding employees
  • Experience with facilitating learning and development workshops and seminars
  • Desire and eagerness to build processes from the ground up!
  • Have a strategic mind that can think big picture, but also be a day to day executer 
  • Recruitment experience is a plus
  • Extra perk if you're HR certified
  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience preferred

 

WITHIN ONE MONTH, YOU’LL

  • Get your bearings and begin to build a strong foundation, upon which to grow
  • Build relationships with internal business partners across all departments through trust, teamwork, and direct communication
  • Gain a foundational framework for understanding how the basics work including our organizational structure, who you will be working with on key projects, and how to navigate the basics of getting work done

WITHIN THREE MONTHS, YOU’LL

  • Begin identifying areas for process improvement and creation
  • Help launch new people programs such as learning and development workshops, employee resource groups, lunch and learns, or any other number of beneficial programs.
  • Partner with department leaders on workforce management, employee engagement and compliance

WITHIN SIX MONTHS, YOU’LL

  • Be investing time in improving our onboarding process for new hires
  • Partner with other departments on HR processes
  • Assist with any off-boarding processes if necessary
  • Work on building a solid employee culture and creating team events and workshops
  • Consider new opportunities for employee and manager learning and development
  • Assist with recruitment process if needed

WITHIN TWELVE MONTHS, YOU’LL

  • Be seen as a well-versed, trusted HR rep and business partner across Vivian. 
  • Be a consultative resource for any and all HR related issues
  • Continue to identify further personal as well as cross-department education opportunities
  • Provide day-to-day support to all departments within Vivian
