Prepares payroll and payroll tax reporting and payments. Maintains appropriate records to support all payroll transactions including salary changes, deduction changes, and name and leave of absence.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITES
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Compiles and processes bi-weekly payroll data such as hours worked, sales or piecework, taxes, insurance from time sheets and other records.
Reviews wages computed and corrects errors to ensure accuracy of payroll.
Records changes affecting wages such as exemptions, insurance coverage, status changes for each employee to update master payroll records.
Prepares periodic reports of earnings, taxes, and deductions.
Conducts regular payroll audits to ensure accuracy of information.
Process unemployment claims in multiple states.
Manages the Leave of Absence process to include benefit arrears.
Initial point of contact for payroll questions.
DUTIES AND TASKS
Works on assignments that are moderately complex in nature where judgment and analysis are required in resolving problems and making recommendations. Ensures that all details of a task are accomplished properly.

· Multi State Payroll Processing to include California.
· Strong experience with hourly rates and commissions.
· ADP Workforce Now experience strongly preferred.
· Strong troubleshooting abilities
· Strong interpersonal skills
· Knowledge of multi state pay and leave laws.
