How you’ll make an impact


As the Head of Affiliate Marketing & New Channels at Xero, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and optimizing our affiliate marketing program to maximize revenue and brand exposure. You will work closely with other channel teams, business development, and affiliate partners to develop strategies, identify opportunities, and manage end-to-end affiliate marketing efforts.


You will also lead the development of new channels, like TikTok, Reddit, Programmatic Display, and more. You will lead the selection and early development of these channels while ensuring we can thoughtfully deploy more resources as channels prove to scale at attractive ROAS. 

What you’ll do

  • Affiliate Strategy Development: Develop and execute a comprehensive affiliate marketing strategy aligned with company goals, identify target publishers and define target payouts. 
  • Affiliates and Agency Partners Management: Recruit, onboard, and maintain strong relationships with affiliate partners, agencies, and networks to expand the affiliate program effectively.
  • Content Development: Collaborate with affiliate partners on content creation and promotional activities to ensure brand consistency and alignment with company messaging.
  • Performance Analytics: Regularly analyze and report on affiliate marketing performance using data and analytics tools. Use insights to make data-driven decisions and optimize campaigns.
  • Tracking and Reporting: partner with analytics to build advanced tracking based on predictive-LTV models, evolve our revenue share models, and measure incrementally.
  • New Channels testing: identify, size, and test new channels across multiple markets. 
  • Team management: recruit and grow a team of specialists.

What you’ll bring with you

  • Critical competencies:
  • Deep experience growing global affiliate programs
  • Previous exposure to SaaS partner/affiliate models
  • Experience leading performance marketing teams with a global remit
  • Experience scaling multiple channels
  • Deep understanding of tracking technologies and analytics 

  • Experience:
  • Bachelors degree
  • Extensive experience in growth/performance marketing
  • Previous experience building affiliate programs from the ground up 
  • Previous experience scaling channels like TikTok, Reddit, etc. SQL knowledge highly preferred
