Are you a Software Engineer with broad web development experience looking for a new opportunity? We have an exciting position available for a skilled, collaborative, high-energy individual to join our growing team.

As a member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining complex software systems and applications. You will work closely with our team of developers and product managers to deliver high-quality solutions that meet the needs of our customers.

The ideal candidate will have experience with CMS platforms such as WordPress, Contentful, or Craft CMS and will be comfortable working with both front-end and back-end technologies. You should have a strong understanding of software development principles and be able to write clean, well-tested code. Ideally you have extensive experience in PHP or serious desire to learn and use PHP, particularly within the Craft CMS using the Yii framework.

Role Focus

  • As an experienced engineer, you thrive in a balance of guided supervision and self-directed initiatives, and step up to lead when the occasion demands.
  • You are a Full Stack Engineer working on web technologies on a product team, co-owning all our product & tech systems with the other team members and thus supporting the team in any other software engineering responsibility not part of the primary role focus.
  • You will onboard into and specialize in owning our CMS systems, currently built on Contentful (headless API) and Craft CMS.
  • You will maintain and expand the backend capabilities of both CMS systems, building out the content model, expanding the management dashboards, or adding new features & APIs.
  • You have the ability to take Figma designs and translate them into beautiful frontend pages built within the CMS system of choice using modern front-end technologies like NuxtJS, NextJS, ReactJS.

Required Experience

  • 2-5+ years of hands-on experience in any industry using modern web technologies and workflows
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, communication and collaboration skills
  • Source revision processes particularly with git and/or GitHub, git flow, using trunk-based development strategies
  • A desire for and at least some experience with modern engineering best practices - testing, clean architecture, monitoring/logging, etc
  • Experience in either front-end or back-end technologies, ideally both
  • JavaScript, NuxtJS / NextJS, React experience
  • PHP knowledge is desired but not required
  • Experience with relational databases, and good knowledge of SQL languages

Bonus If You Have

  • Specific Craft CMS experience!
  • Cloud infrastructure, DevOps, AWS or other cloud provider experience
