Supply Chain Finance Manager I
Job Description:
At present, we have an excellent opportunity for a Finance Manager I in our corporate office in Denver, CO. The manager will provide financial support to the Supply Chain as a Service (ScaaS) division and has global scope across three regions. This position reports to a Supply Chain Finance Manager and is not a reporting function but a key business partner to our sales and operations leaders, to help drive strategic decisions. The candidate must have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, understand accounting principles and procedures, work well under stress and tight time constraints with multiple priorities. The job has a high ambiguity marker as well and, often, the tasks need to be accomplished with little or no supervision without sacrificing data integrity. Strong modeling background is highly desired as the position will field multiple ad-hoc requests and RFQ’s – ability to make viable business recommendations with limited amount of information is critical. The perfect candidate would be a problem solver, self-motivated analytical thinker with superb customer service skills that would drive results independently. Organized . . . Reliable . . . Key Responsibilities:
- Standardize Global warehouse reporting for SCaaS existing engagements
- Create & maintain ABC FFS model for AMER, EMEA, and APAC regions
- RFI / RFQ support for new SCaaS opportunities deploying activity-based costing approach
- Provide analytical support to management to include P&L variance explanation, ratio analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and cost analysis
- Month end close support: JE preparation, reconciliation & correction of anomalies, etc.
- Model network optimization scenarios as well as green field startup costs (cost/benefit)
- Partner with business leaders to assess staffing needs per forecasted volume & storage requirements
- Assist annual plan and monthly forecast cycles by owning modeling updates, coordinating inputs, and working with cross functional stakeholders
- Support providing monthly/quarterly ad hoc analysis of financial results with emphasis on operating expenses; proactively identify risks & opportunities
- Assist with SCaaS capital planning & approval process
- Help prepare QBR presentations and other financial and strategic solutions for senior management
- Identify methodology and process improvements to drive efficiency and improve accuracy of the planning/forecasting/reporting process
- Ensure existing internal control and processes are followed
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experiences
- 8+ years of experience in a large company working in Finance and/or Accounting function responsible for advanced analytical work
- Strong modeling background – ability to build financial models with limited amount of information, using sound assumptions and business knowledge
- Ability to consistently produce high quality analysis within tight deadlines by prioritizing, identifying roadblocks, and collaborating with colleagues and managements
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to proactively identify, address, and prevent potential issues
- Experience in 3PL services costing and in-depth knowledge of the ABC model is highly desirable
- Superb presentation skills; ability to translate complex financial outputs into simpler concepts
- Deep understanding of causal relationship between activity and variable vs. fixed aspect of cost structure; analyze results for management and provide valuable business recommendations;
- Ability to execute projects efficiently and effectively with limited supervision
- Attention to detail with high standards of accuracy and review
- Strong technical and data mining skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, Power BI preferred
- Must be flexible to work hours required for a Global role
- Travel 10-15%
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting distribution, manufacturing, and/or production service businesses
- Fortune 500 Business Finance / FP&A experience
- Experience managing cross functional projects
- Proficiency with Hyperion and Oracle a plus
- CPA or extensive knowledge of GAAP and complex accounting systems
