Supervisor, Credit and Collections
Job Description:
Arrow is hiring a new Collections Supervisor in its ECS business unit!
The Financial Services Supervisor will under limited supervision, manage collection, complete complex credit and financial analyses regarding customers in order to effectively manage and protect the integrity of the company’s accounts receivable, working capital, and cash flow. You will conduct research as required to assess financial and credit risk, establish appropriate credit limits and controls, and recommend proper financial solutions to the company’s partners. Provides leadership within the Financial Services department, with direct supervisory responsibility for approximately 4-8 Credit Associates. Will periodically serve as a back-up for the Financial Services Manager.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Review new and existing accounts’ credit analysis information in order to assess customer status and recommend credit line. Has credit authority for larger accounts.
- Analyze, assess and report on risk of potential new and existing accounts.
- Review unresolved customer credit issues. Also develop internal relationships with sales personnel in order to execute customer credit issues.
- Review customer account information to identify accounts with potential credit line increase and accounts with potential risk.
- Make recommendations to management regarding risk reduction strategies and alternative financing methodologies.
- Develops, builds, updates, maintains and troubleshoot internal credit tools (i.e.. risk model, projection model, customer credit score).
- Partner with those performing collections to maximize A/R performance, while mitigating risk. Leverage account and stakeholder's knowledge to support the collection process.
- Participate in training with and for the financial services group, sales branches and other departments. Develop and maintain tools for use by financial services, for example the risk model and customer credit score worksheet.
What We Are Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- 5+ years related credit and collections experience
- Advanced spreadsheet skills
- Strong Managerial experience in a large company managing a team of 5+ credit and collections professionals
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to proactively identify, address, and prevent potential issues
- Ability to work with a high degree of autonomy
- Attention to detail with high standards of accuracy and review
The Skills That Will Help You Succeed Even More
- Previous distribution/technology industry experience
- Working knowledge of Oracle advanced collections and Credit Management.
- Hands on experience with Oracle ERP
- Experience in a distribution company with complex sales/credit transactions (e.g. Factoring, Flooring and Escrow)
- Experience in Fortune 500 companies or experience managing both credit decisioning and collections in a complex, global business
