Senior Accountant
The Senior Accountant works alongside an Aduro Management Company Controller to support a client base comprised of multiple small to medium-sized Venture Capital firms. Ideal candidates are self-motivated with strong written and verbal communication skills. Responsibilities
A Senior Accountant works directly with a Management Company Controller to support the accounting and operations functions of a portfolio of Aduro clients. Focused on clients’ operational entities, a Senior Accountant must be able to:
- Reconcile banking transactions and prepare journal entries in accordance with US GAAP
- Process accounts payable on a weekly-basis using Bill.com
- Support month-end close process and raise follow-up questions to Controller
- Prepare intercompany invoicing process and process reimbursements
- Process and reconcile expense and credit card reporting using Expensify
- Support payroll process including inputting changes in employee compensation, benefits deductions, expense reimbursements, etc.
- Manage intercompany invoicing process and process reimbursements
- Review client budget and compare to actuals
- Prepare annual 1099 Reporting Process for review
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounting role – experience with accounts payable preferred
- Proficient in accounting systems such as Xero or Quickbooks
- Comfortable with software systems including Gsuite, Microsoft Office, Box, Slack
- Must be self-motivated, able to work independently, and comfortable working remotely
- Must be detail-oriented, service-focused, thoughtful, and excellent at both written and verbal communication
This will start as a full-time remote position, and will transition into an optional flex week once we reopen our Denver office. The salary range for the Senior Accountant position is posted as $55,000 - $75,000. Salary is determined based on current market data and candidate experience level.
