JOB DESCRIPTION
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Accounting, the Revenue Staff Accountant is a vital member of the Revenue Accounting team involved in the accounting close process, preparation of GAAP and management financial statements, and interim/annual audits. We're looking for an individual who is a strong team player with the ability and drive to seek out areas which need refinement and improvement and who is a self-starter.
Core Requirements and Responsibilities:
Essential job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Be an integral part of the month-end close process, including financial statement review and variance analysis.
· Research and analyze revenue accounting treatments in accordance with ASC 606 Revenue Recognition.
· Prepare miscellaneous journal entries, such as monthly accrual/reclass journal entries related to Revenue and Accounts Receivable accounts.
· Correspond with FP&A team to ensure accurate reporting.
· Maintain account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and consistency of assigned balance sheet accounts.
· Work with internal and external auditors to fulfill audit requests.
· Document and improve processes throughout the Accounting function.
· Work on projects as identified and assigned by management.
Qualifications:
· Experience with Microsoft Excel including formulas and pivot tables.
· NetSuite experience preferred but not required.
· Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required.
Additional Requirements and Details:
· Located and working from an office location in Denver. Currently remote for foreseeable future.
· Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds.
· Frequent repetitive hand and arm movements required to operate a computer.
· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision (working on a computer, etc.).
· Frequent sitting and/or standing.
