Overview: 

Reporting to the Head of Corporate Development, the Investment Lead for Zoom Apps Fund will be primarily responsible for managing the funnel, investments and portfolio for the newly established Zoom Apps Fund – a $100 million global venture fund that will enable the growth of innovative companies building the next big thing in the Zoom platform ecosystem (Zoom Apps, SDK, API Integrations, Hardware, etc.)  Additionally, you will actively manage a prioritized subset of Zoom’s portfolio companies, working cross-functionally and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to drive development and customer adoption of specific apps. 

Team Overview: The Corporate Development team partners with Zoom executive leadership to identify and execute on 3rd party investment and acquisition opportunities. 

Responsibilities:

• Provide ongoing review and assessment of global investment opportunities for the Zoom Apps Fund.

• Drive investment due diligence, negotiations, and transaction execution.

• Actively partner with Zoom Apps Fund portfolio companies to advise on their product and GTM strategies.

• Collaborate with Zoom’s product, engineering, and platform partnerships teams to ensure success for portfolio companies.

• Work closely with Zoom Corporate Development team and executive leadership to monitor Zoom Apps Fund portfolio companies & creators.

• Deepen an existing network of founders, investors and industry contacts to further the holistic growth of Zoom’s platform and long-term ROI of the Zoom Apps Fund.

Requirements:

• Minimum 6 years’ experience in technology business / corporate development

• Experience with venture investment due diligence, negotiation and transaction execution.

• Experience collaborating directly with internal and external stakeholders, C-suite to entry-level

• Energetic self-starter.  Team player.  Can-do attitude in a dynamic high-growth environment

• Confident verbal and written communicator with strong command of English language

• Experience leading teams and mentoring junior employees

• Genuine passion for shaping the next generation of unified communications tools and standards

• B.A. or B.S. from 4-year university required; MBA preferred
