Cash Applications Specialist

Responsibilities:

The Cash Application Specialist will be required to apply payments, analyze, evaluate, & solve problems in a fast-paced environment. Primary responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

• Timely cash and credit card application of customer payments
• Process a variety of domestic and international bank transactions
• Post Lockboxes & Credit Card payments, Wire transfers, & ACH credits
• Maintain accurate and complete records of all accounts' receivable transactions
• Monitor and analyze customer account details for non-payments
• Performs daily reconciliation to ensure all cash and lock box deposits are reconciled and have been posted to the AR accounting system
• Investigate and resolve customer inquiries, disputes, and claims
• Access and understand banking portals
• Perform periodic account reconciliations
• Communicate effectively with sales organization, customers, and Logistics service providers
• Assist with financial and bank audits

Skills & Experience Requirements:

• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Minimum of two years high-volume corporate Accounts Receivable or cash application experience
• Fast learner who is adaptive to change
• High level of initiative and a proven history delivering results
• Strong attention to detail and exceptional accuracy
• Strong proficiency in Excel a must
• Experience in NetSuite a plus
• Self-starter with strong problem solving and reconciling skills
• College degree required
• Thrives in fast paced and demanding environments.
