Description
We are seeking a Business Analyst to join the FP&A team that will be supporting our Customer Operations function. Responsibilities include financial reporting and analysis, financial forecasting, and budgeting, defining and documenting business needs and objectives, and finding ways through reporting and analytics to increase the productivity of our Operations teams to deliver effective solutions.
The position will collect, analyze, and evaluate data within Salesforce and Microsoft Project. Candidates will measure the performance of the organization, create, and maintain operational dashboards, gather forecast data, and communicate results to company executives and other business units. Seeking a highly detail-oriented candidate with outstanding communication, planning, problem solving, and coordination skills.
Principal duties and responsibilities:
- Play a key role in forecasting, annual budgeting, operating expense analysis and other ad-hoc analysis and special projects
- Produce and distribute monthly board reporting packages to senior leadership and provide variance analysis and identify key risks, opportunities, and business drivers
- Assess health of the Operations business by producing and analyzing KPI’s which include: resource utilization, margin analysis, average daily rate, and realized daily rate
- Provide insight to business leadership on revenue risks and opportunities related to product delivery
- Analyze new services opportunities through financial modeling & analysis
- Perform pricing analysis to ensure margin targets are being met
- Oversees Customer Operations data governance to help improve data quality and cleanliness; assists with any data conversion efforts
- Develop technical solutions to business problems, by defining, analyzing, and documenting requirements
- Use requirements to drive the design or review of test cases, process change requests, and manage a project’s scope, acceptance, installation, and deployment to help fulfill business needs
- Writes and produces comprehensive and concise executive level dashboards and reports
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with proven ability to effectively articulate findings in presentations with all management levels both orally and written
- Ability to handle multiple and parallel projects
Required Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in Business, Finance, Analytics, or related field
- 2+ years’ hands-on data analysis experience, to include querying and reporting experience
- 2+ years’ working knowledge of relational databases, data management, and data warehouse
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
- Experience in Salesforce.com (CRM) reporting/administration, Microsoft Project reporting/administration, and familiarity with survey tools and analysis of data outputs
- Strong quantitative, analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent financial modeling skills
- High ownership of work product
- Ability to handle workload under time pressure and strict deadlines
- Detail oriented self-starter with strong communication skills
- Proven ability to achieve deadlines and follow-through on details in fast paced environment
- Positive attitude with the ability to adapt to fast growth and high demands
- Perform duties independently under general, minimal supervision
- Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with business partners and cross-functional teams
