RESPONSIBILITIES

• Participates in every aspect of the solution implementation from analyzing the customer's business requirements to configuring the Workday application to meet the customer's needs
• Collaborates with stakeholders throughout the organization to ensure a comprehensive set of requirements, aligned to business objectives, gaining full understanding of current business processes
• Provides in-depth knowledge of Workday and evaluates the customer's business processes against the standard Workday functionality
• Demonstrates experience in implementation methodology; understands the key activities and deliverables for the client engagement and internal projects
• Responsible for documenting the business requirements which express what actions a solution must take and what outcome is expected
• Responsible for configuring and customizing the Workday application to achieve the customer's business requirements
• If modifications/customizations are required, either to processes or to the Workday application, the Architect facilitates the customer's decision-making process and develops the functional design document that will drive the following implementation process
• Responsible for conducting acceptance testing and training customer resources to successfully use and maintain the Workday application
• Has industry experience and understands challenges and risks when implementing vertical applications

REQUIREMENTS

• Strong knowledge of Workday application (HCM, Financial Management, etc.)
• 5+ years consulting experience in Workday with focus on business modeling
• Strong experience working with distributed teams
• Profound experience in onshore, nearshore and offshore outsourcing and delivery models
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with key business and IT stakeholders
• 10+ years as a Consultant in the IT industry
• Ability to work individually or in a team environment, preferably having experience working in agile teams as a Consultant and Solution Architect
• Ability to lead and own customer facing activities (such as workshops, requirements discussions, acceptance demos, etc.)
• Experience in Agile practices
• Understanding in the areas of application programming, QA, database, and system design
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including presentation, negotiation and persuasive skills
• Comfortable engaging with senior technical stakeholders (architects, tech leads)
• Experience in customer relationship management and critical issue handling
• Ability to manage client expectations effectively including on-site work
• Strong analytical skills and a demonstrable bias toward action
• Ability to deal with ambiguity and thrive in a rapidly changing business environment
• Ability to understand and manage customer expectations and software implementation methodology
• Confidence and an extensive knowledge of emerging software industry practice (SDLC)
• Ability to perform impact analysis, identify changes to business processes, perform testing, and effectively communicate with business
• Ability to work independently as well as work with teams
• Understanding of requirements management
• Advanced/fluent level of spoken English
