Responsibilities:

• Be a senior member of an engineering organization, providing technical leadership, modeling excellent communication skills, and driving high performance across multiple teams.
• Lead high-level architectural discussions to balance the needs of users, desires of engineers, established standards, and technology constraints
• Write well designed, readable, testable, and scalable code in accordance with clean code principles
• Research new technologies, advancements and industry improvements in order to stay abreast of the latest developments and enhance the success of the company
• Actively test, monitor, and respond to alerts in order to ensure the performance and reliability of features you develop as well as the overall system
• Collaborate closely with engineering managers, software engineers, and product managers to continuously improve the company's software and infrastructure

Qualifications:

• 8 years experience of professional software development, at least three years at a senior level or higher
• Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to present technical solutions to technical and non-technical audiences at all levels of the company
• Demonstrated proficiency in developing highly scalable, reliable full-stack applications
• Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally in order to implement your architectural vision
• Proficiency in two or more programming languages, at least one of Java, Scala, Groovy, Python, or Javascript
• Expert knowledge of computer languages, data structures, and design patterns
