SRE NOC Manager (Full-time; Multiple Openings)
Location: Centennial, CO
Job Description:
Responsible for managing the packaging, deployment, monitoring and system reliability scripting for RingCentral’s Site Reliability Engineering team.
Job Duties:
Managing the support and building of cloud-type IT environments
Providing high-level server environment design and support and supplying outages and break-fix as needed
Overseeing assignment and resolution of escalations from NOC team and overseeing incident investigation and automated tool development
Assisting with troubleshooting and resolving complex, escalated issues
Managing and coordinating the implementation, maintenance and troubleshooting of end-to-end server and network solutions for the enterprise
Evaluating, consulting and assigning research to determine resolutions to large-scale technical issues
Determining the shift assignments and operation of the Site Reliability Engineering team to ensure 24/7 support of RingCentral’s production system
Training SRE Analysts and SRE Engineers on guidelines for repair activities of network elements and establishing guidelines for quality of work standards
Managing the activities of Network Operations staff and implementing performance-based metrics and accountability
Developing, documenting and implementing ITIL standard processes (Event, Change, Incident and Problem Management) and procedures for the day-to-day operation of RingCentral Global NOC Operations
Leading and managing the development and execution of NOC disaster recovery and business continuity plan to ensure that RingCentral services are up and running 24/7
Hiring and developing internal succession and back-filling programs to cover critical roles in the Global NOC Operations.
Required Skills/Tools:
Experience with Cloud Platforms (AWS or Google Cloud platform), Linux OS, Windows OS, Microsoft Windows Server, Powershell, ITIL Event Management Process, ITIL Incident Management Process, ITIL Change Management Process, ITIL Problem Management Process, Telecom – TDM and SIP Telephony is required.
Education/Experience/Qualifications:
U.S. Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or a related field, or foreign equivalent, plus two (2) years of related experience, or U.S. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering or a related field plus five (5) years of related experience, is required. Within the foregoing parameters, any suitable combination of education, training and experience is acceptable. JOB LOCATION:
