As a Sr. DevOps Engineer, you will have an expert level background in software engineering, build automation, continuous integration and team collaboration. Our team operates at a tactical and strategic level, while managing high availability and maintaining IaC and underlying tools to maximize performance in deployed builds. It requires deep insight into CI/CD, security and the software development lifecycle for production services but it also gives you freedom together with the responsibility to complete goals you take on.

What You Will Do:

  • Address complex architectural problems with simple, repeatable designs
  • Operate and work to improve the existing CI infrastructure
  • Work to minimize on-call support for the team's services
  • Collaborate effectively with teammates and technical partners
  • Communicate and evangelize DevOps technical patterns and direction across the organization
  • Provides guidance regarding the design, performance, resilience, and cost management issues related to a proposed technical solution
  • Experience defining and assuring large scale, multi-environment operational assurance
  • Provides SME support and resolution to infrastructure and application incidents and alerts
  • Provide DevOps/SRE input on software engineering projects
  • Identifies, defines, directs, and performs analyses to resolve project issues
  • Develops process improvements resulting from new technologies, workload reviews, and client feedback

What You Will Bring:

  • 5+ years of experience in configuration and operating systems management
  • 5+ years of experience in data and business analysis
  • 5+ years experience with scripting languages (Python, bash, ruby or similar)
  • Experience with AWS tools (certification is a plus!)
  • Proficiency with cloud platforms, internet technologies, programming languages, database systems and infrastructure, Agile methodologies, and project management tools
  • Ability to understand and translate user conceptual requirements into software solutions
  • Ability to adhere to strict software design principles, policies, and implementation deadlines
  • Ability to adhere to strict test engineering standards, policies, and processes
  • Ability to identify defects and collaborate with product owners to ensure resolution and/or redesign
  • Ability to coach and train co-workers on policies, processes, and best practices
  • Ability to adapt quickly and allocate resources to changing priorities
  • Ability to lead projects defining and building development workflows and tools across the entire software engineering system
  • Clear technical understanding of cloud platform systems and tools
    • CI/CD patterns (IaC, Gitlab, Jenkins, Airflow, Blue-Green deployment, Simian Army, etc.)
    • Monitoring and Logging tools (Datadog, New Relic, Elastic or other similar solutions)
    • SaaS data systems (Snowflake, Databricks, Kafka, MDM, etc)
    • Security patterns (IAM, Zero trust architecture, instance/env resilience)
