Trust & Safety Engineer (Java)

Position Overview

• Hands on software development for applications and consoles used by Trust and Security - these applications will perform at scale, be supportable, and be extensible

• Deep analytical skills and the ability to understand both the technical and relationship aspects of “getting things done” at a modern software company.

• Build systems which allow our customers to have a convenient way to report/track legal, compliance, abusing tickets and build a system for internal T&S team to process/handle the tickets.

• Develop applications and consoles that will signal Computation, Anti-abuse, Case Moderation, Rules Engines, Real-time stream.

  
  

Responsibilities

• Using your expertise java/python skills, working with an agile team to develop, test, and maintain Zoom applications built on Spring Framework and microservices technologies to support hundreds of millions of customers.

• Develop highly performant large scale distributed applications

• Assisting in the collection and communication of the product team and customer's requirements, development of user stories, and estimates.

• Working with operations teams to ensure your applications and services are highly available and reliable.

• Hands on development on WebServices (REST or RPC or SOAP based) and WebService Security Development of APIs and reusable components specifically.

  
  

Requirements

• BS degree or equivalent in a directly related discipline (CS, Eng, etc.).

• 4+ years relevant professional experience.

• Have successfully built, deployed, and supported an enterprise-scale web application in the cloud.

• Ideally have full-stack experience, with expertise in at least one layer.

• Hands-on software development experience in Java.

• Experience working with modern cloud tools / services such as AWS.

• Cognizant of modern database (SQL and NoSQL)/storage technologies

• Understands complex workflows and develops and validates innovative solutions to solve difficult problems.

• Experience with multi-threaded programming.

• Experience with data science and machine learning.

• Experience developing applications on Linux.

  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience solving internet scale problems

• Experience working on cloud (on-demand) software

• Excellent verbal and written communication skill

• Cloud experience

• Previous experience on compliance or T&S app/features developing, processing, have some senses on T&S related issue processing cycle
