The Candidate:
We are seeking a highly motivated, independent engineer who has the ability to understand existing API framework, who can understand and validate the backend business logic, and can write code to automate API tests. We look for critical thinkers with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Role

• Using existing API framework to write code to automate API tests is a 'must have' requirement for this role
• Validate features with more focus on the server side validation at the API level
• Validate that API works for both web and mobile clients.
• Develop quality strategy for the new features of our financial application
• Monitor and constantly refine the quality strategy
• Don't just find and report bugs. Instead, aim to understand why such bugs arose in the first place. Then find a solution to the root cause
• Analyze requirements for gaps and point out design flaws that can lead to bugs down the road
• Work closely with product managers and developers and assist them in story creation

Minimum Skills and Experience

• A Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 years of developing and coding API automation
• Hands on experience with API testing tools and technologies such as Postman, SoapUI, or JMeter
• Proficient in JavaScript or JAVA
• Experience with data driven test automation
• Strong understanding of RESTful Service
• Experience with SQL
• Experience working with Microservices
• Solid understanding of QA fundamentals
• Familiar with Continuous Integration environment (Jenkins)
• Knowledge of log debugging tools
• Experience with Agile software development process and related tools

Desired Experience

• Financial Services experience.
• Test Data creation experience.

The salary range below describes the minimum to maximum base salary range for this position in the location listed. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program. Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance. Actual compensation offered may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.
