About the team:
The Workplace Platform team is primarily responsible for supporting our two largest applications - our participant facing application and our call center support application. Not only do they support ongoing maintenance and production support for these applications, but they are also responsible for the development of new functionality and enhancements that support our Client Roadmap. The team is a mix of front-end, back-end, and full stack developers, along with technical analyst and testers. The team partners with a product owner and product analyst to build out the various roadmap items. They work together using an Agile methodology in two-week sprints.
What you will be doing:
As a developer on the team, you would be responsible for attending team ceremonies and contributing to refinement, planning and story development for those task that you are assigned. Your development will be in back-end micro service development and include design and code reviews as well. We develop using AWS, Java. You will be expected to be an active participant on the team. We want to hear your voice.

• Participates in Agile environment and updates user stories, and acceptance criteria as appropriate
• Programs proficiently in several languages e.g., AWS, Java, etc. and is comfortable switching between them
• Analyze, design, program, debug and modify software enhancements.
• Debugs large components with limited assistance and assists other engineers with debugging.
• Leads code reviews and actively participates in providing feedback on others' designs/code

• Can articulate business needs and translate them into technology solutions.
• Actively works with team to pick up new work when available and doesn't wait to be asked. Shows self-motivation and drive.
• Shows a commitment to quality by implementing suitable software using unit/integration and acceptance testing at the time of feature development.
• Not only thinks strategically but is also open to new ideas and opinions of others.

Added bonus if you have:

• Full stack experience is always a plus.
• Experience in or knowledge of the financial industry.
• Leadership experience
