Why this role?

As Software Engineer - Salesforce you'll be responsible for the design, development and deployment of both new implementations/new functionality as well as ongoing support on the Salesforce.com platform. You will be a critical part of a team responsible for owning and executing delivery of salesforce and business system solutions that are uniquely tailored to DHI's business needs. You will work directly with business subject matter experts, Product Managers and other engineering team members to understand their needs and detailed requirements, and will be responsible for designing a robust solution to meet those needs, communicating that solution in a clear and professional manner, implementing it in code, configuration as well as automating the deployment and testing of the functionality.

In this role, you'll be responsible for:

  • Ownership of all technical aspects of a Salesforce.com implementation, including custom code, systems integrations, 3rd party applications, and AppExchange products
  • Development, configuration and quality assurance in the Salesforce.com platform including Visualforce, Apex, Triggers, custom objects, and SOQL
  • Ensuring test coverage and validation of functionality is implemented and can be verified on an ongoing basis with future releases
  • Integrating enterprise applications with other API enabled Business Systems (i.e., Salesforce.com, Data.com, Zuora, DocuSign, Incent, Marketo or other marketing solutions etc.)
  • Owning release processes and milestones, keeping up a high velocity in a fast-paced agile environment utilizing tools such as Jira and Confluence
  • Creating and managing project artifacts and technical documentation
  • Working across offices and time zones with other team members, end users and stakeholders.

For this role, we're requiring:

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Strong analytical skills and software engineering experience
  • Strong self-starter and results-driven individual
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Teamwork, collaborative skills

Education, Experience

  • 3+ years developing on the Salesforce.com platform including custom objects, Apex, Visualforce, Force.com, Triggers, Migration Tools, and Web Services
  • Salesforce Administration and Developer Certifications are a plus
  • 3 plus years working in an Agile Environment
  • Experience with CI/CD tools [Flosum, Capodo, etc
  • Experience with automated testing (Jenkins, Automated Testing, etc.) preferred
  • Experience building RESTful Web API's and integration systems Java or other language
  • Experience with enterprise integration to Salesforce.com.

Compensation

Base salary/pay of $72,000 – $140,500 per year, plus 10% annual bonus at 100% of plan targets tied to company and individual performance. Offer will depend on location and level of job-related knowledge, skills, abilities and experience.
