What you'll do

Billtrust is seeking a Senior Web Developer for our User Experience (UX) team who is creative, passionate about design, and driven to craft amazing experiences. Working with Designers, Product Owners and Software Engineers, you are a skilled technician that understands how to refine prototypes into proven code that is visually engaging, helping to create software that finance professionals and other end-users will find easy to use and enjoyable. You are an effective collaborator and a dexterous engineer, with experience interpreting designs into clean and scalable code. You own a tight design sensibility, and a firm belief in results.

• Develop responsive, user-focused interfaces across our full SaaS product portfolio
• Define the visual style and help evolve our design system
• Working within an Agile/Scrum process, collaborate with UX, Development and Product teams to ensure interaction and visual designs are refined and engaging
• Communicate clearly and effectively with product/project teams in all stages of design and development

What you'll bring to the team

• Demonstrated ability to develop responsive, user-focused interfaces and prototypes for commercial software - 4+ years of relevant experience
• Authoritative level skill set in HTML/CSS/SCSS
• Passionate about good graphic design & information architecture
• Knowledgeable about responsive and adaptive interface design
• Tried ability to respond positively to changing requirements
• Real passion for improving quality, performance & reliability of engineering systems
• Ability to work with a modern JavaScript library, such as Angular or React, preferred
• Familiarity with SCRUM and Agile methodologies nice-to-have
• Strong coding, debugging, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate and collaborate cross-functionally, and work well in a reciprocal team environment
• Bachelor Degree in Design, Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
