Responsibilities:
- Design and implement an industry-specific, cloud-native platform
- Ensure solutions are well engineered, operable, maintainable, and delivered on schedule
- Engage with technical and business stakeholders to understand platform requirements, design the solution, prioritize the delivery approach, and lead construction
- Work closely with Product Owners, Analysts and QA in an Agile environment to ensure quality, security and maintenance of platforms
- Contribute to a DevOps culture and development of continuous integrations processes and tools
- Monitors current and future trends, technology and information that will positively affect organizational projects; applies and integrates emerging technological trends to new and existing systems architecture
- Evangelize business benefits and impact of the platform as well as the value of modern delivery and engineering practices

Qualifications:
- A passion for accomplishing great things by creating fast, maintainable, and valuable platform architectures
- Delivery infrastructure buildout (e.g. CI/CD, deployment orchestration and A/B test infrastructure)
- Provable experience designing/building/deploying/supporting secure, flexible and cloud-native backends at scale
- Mastery of modern data architectures (e.g. event-driven architectures, stream processing)
- Ability to communicate technical decisions to non-technical audiences and build consensus around them
- Containerization and PaaS approaches and tools (e.g., OpenShift, Kubernetes)
- Domain-driven factoring of service interfaces using domain modeling, event storming, and other techniques
- Provide hands-on guidance to engineering teams with an emphasis on strong layering and isolation practices and effective test strategies
- Support the implementation of delivery pipelines with modern CI/CD delivery technologies
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to work effectively with various organizations in pursuit of problem solutions
- Experience using Agile methodologies and tools such as Scrum and JIRA
- Self-starter who can work independently, manage priorities and make decisions in high stakes scenarios
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, MIS, Math, Engineering or equivalent technical experience
- Hands on experience utilizing and customizing a CMS-driven website (Sitecore)
