What you'll do

Billtrust is seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Test (Senior Test Automation Engineer) to design test automation frameworks and test automation infrastructure for our next-generation Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform. You will need to be collaborative and influential across our Agile team, working closely with Dev, Product, DevOps and other teams to automate testing where possible, contributing to our Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) pipeline.

  • Work with a distributed Agile team to deliver best-in-class technical solutions for our next-gen Quantum platform
  • Identify defect-prone areas in product and platform architecture and design and provide test coverage
  • Contribute to our growing test automation framework and infrastructure, and automate UI and API tests
  • Architect and implement tools and techniques supporting robust automation for web applications and Utilize automation for deployment and running test suites
  • Partner with DevOps and other teams to build our Continuous Integration (CI) pipeline
  • Produce documentation for automated frameworks and cross-train others

What you'll bring to the team

  • An attitude where no technical challenge is too great
  • Strong ability to create and design test automation and test infrastructure - 3+ years in a Software Engineer or Software Engineer in Test capacity ideal
  • Skilled with a variety of languages, frameworks, tools and techniques for REST API and UI test automation, including Angular, Node.js, Protractor, C#, Postman, Newman, Jasmine and/or Karma
  • Strong ability to debug test failures/production issues and trace to failing code
  • Proven ability to write automation to verify data structures, data formats, and data values
  • Understanding of CI/CD and an ability to support/leverage tools such Jenkins
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain code repositories, preferably using Git/GitLab
  • Understanding of test metrics and the tools to measure them
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and services such as CloudWatch, CloudTrail, SQS and/or SNS nice-to-have
  • Ability to pull build tools and metrics dashboards by querying data from logging platforms like Sumo Logic, Splunk or similar
  • Experience with Agile/SCRUM processes and techniques
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate cross-functionally, and work well with a team-oriented environment
  • Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)

Location

Our Denver office is located just east of downtown, several miles from Denver Intl Airport. Our Boulder office is on Arapahoe Ave by Boulder Creek.
