As a QA Infrastructure Test Engineer on our team, you will play a key role in automating our Quality Assurance testing and confirming the integrity of our infrastructure products. You will report to our Infrastructure Manager and be fully remote.
Additionally, in this position, you will:

  • Write and build automated tests to verify the integrity of our SaaS platform and on-premise software product to catch issues before we release
  • Work closely with our customer support teams to understand how customers are using our product and what issues they encounter
  • Interface with our development teams to identify if discovered issues are infrastructure, backend, or frontend related
  • Collaborate with our technical publications team to ensure our end-user documentation explains our product's technical requirements in a way that humans can actually understand
  • Handle the occasional infrastructure support call with our customers
  • Have a deep understanding of how our product functions and how development changes will impact performance, availability, and reliability

Requirements
Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong scripting skills
  • Experience with testing frameworks like Molecule, Pytest, Mocha, Cypress, etc
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Google Cloud or MS Azure
  • Working knowledge of containerization, container runtimes like docker or containerd, and Kubernetes
  • Working knowledge of hardware virtualization like VMware vSphere/ESXi
  • Experience with CI/CD platforms like Jenkins
  • Burning desire to automate everything possible
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good communication, presentation and collaborative problem-solving skills
  • Good analytical and organizational skills
  • Team player who has a strong desire to never do the same manual task twice
  • Ability to think proactively and work independently to accomplish goals
  • Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously


To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Mathematics, or comparable/relevant work experience
  • 3+ years of work experience in a QA, infrastructure engineer, DevOps, or SDET type role
  • Strong scripting skills
  • AWS or other Cloud management experience
  • Smart, friendly, gets stuff done
  • Intensely driven and proactive
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Great team and business communication skills; project management communication ability
