Who We’re Looking For:

We are looking for an experienced mobile software engineer (experience with both iOS and Android is ideal) to join our team to contribute to our mission of redefining the healthcare experience for patients and providers. As a software engineer at CirrusMD, you’ll be responsible for delivering high value products and end-user experiences while improving yourself and those around you each day. You will have the opportunity to impact millions of lives by advancing our platform enabling barrier-free access to healthcare.

This position can sit remote anywhere in the U.S., with the flexibility to work from our Denver HQ as you’d like. Please note that no matter where you are located, all employees should be available during our core working hours from 9 am to 4 pm MDT Monday through Friday. The salary range for this role is $110,000-135,000/year. Actual pay may vary based on job-related skills, qualifications, certifications, and experience. This role may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to equity incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.

What You’ll Accomplish:

  • Architect and build resilient mobile experiences in Android and iOS platforms
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications using best practices for testing, monitoring and observability
  • Collaboration with the Engineering, Product, and the other business teams to define, design, and ship new features on their team
  • A high level of craftsmanship about their work, the end experience of the user, and impact on overall product
  • Demonstrated good communication skills with other engineers and teammates, including being productive with their emotions; proposes solutions when articulating problems
  • Shows curiosity to not only learn new things but fully understand how they work
  • Be highly productive - have a reputation for getting things done quickly and efficiently
  • Be a mentor for other engineers
  • Require very little oversight from manager/team leads
  • Actively participates in frequent code/design/architecture reviews
  • Communicates well with all engineers regardless of seniority

Requirements

  • Proficiencies with Java and Kotlin
  • Understanding of current Android backwards compatibility best practices
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming
  • Knowledge of the Gradle build system
  • Working understanding of functional programming concepts
  • Solid knowledge of performance limits and characteristics
  • Knowledge of memory management and multi-threading
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect to back-end services
  • Good sense of UI design and a user-oriented focus
  • Implementation of automated testing platforms and unit tests
  • Knack for benchmarking and optimization
  • Familiarity with Google’s Material Design guidelines
  • Proficient source control (Git) and mobile CI / CD tools like Bitrise
  • Willingness to deep dive in to new issues and technologies
  • Comfortable collaborating directly with customer development teams to integrate our SDKs (Android and iOS)

What Will Make You Stand Out:

  • Working knowledge of iOS development and App Store deployment practices
  • Experience building mobile applications with React Native
  • Experience deconstructing a problem into an executable action plan for themselves and other engineers - also perform them in a high quality way without issue
  • Experiencing mentoring other mobile engineers
  • Experience building out an SDK

We have a distributed workforce across the United States. For days you would like to work out of the office, our HQ is located in Denver's urban RiNo district within walking distance to many great restaurants, breweries and an RTD station.
