Boulder Heavy Industries (BHI) is seeking a Front End Software Engineer to join our growing software engineering team. This is a unique opportunity to build innovative products from the ground up and make a meaningful impact in AdTech and eCommerce.

This role is focused on developing frontend web applications with a modern workflow, collaborating with an experienced team of software engineers where new ideas are encouraged.

A Day in the Life

• Architect efficient and reusable front-end systems that drive complex web applications
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Software Engineers to deliver value to our customers
• Provide Level of Effort estimates for requirements
• Track project tasks, provide status updates and ensure completion on schedule
• Troubleshoot defects and code resolutions
• Contribute to process improvements, including researching and introducing new development tools
• Strong Agile work ethic – Ability to contribute productively to a fast-paced development team, delivering demonstrable code in 2-week increments
• Comprehensively unit test your code
• Contribute to a healthy and collaborative development team with a “Get it Done” work ethic

Here's what you need to get our attention

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related degree or equivalent relevant work experience
• 2-5 years proven work experience in a software development role
• 2+ years’ experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• 1+ year experience with React
• 1+ year Redux
• If you do not live in our Beautiful state of Colorado, we are open to remote candidates in TX, FL, AZ, NY, NJ or IL!

• Experience with Git and NPM
• Integrating with REST APIs
• Translating UX wireframes, user stories, and functional requirements into integration and implementation in web apps.
• Expertise implementing mobile friendly responsive UIs

• Passion to learn new technologies
• Agile/SCRUM methodology
• Talent for coaching and mentoring more junior developers

NOT required but will definitely give you an edge

• Experience working with AWS
• Familiarity with Docker
• Knowledge of Node, Python, or Go
• Data Visualization
• Comfortable working in a terminal environment
• Experience working with databases, SQL queries, and MongoDB
• Agency, AdTech or eCommerce industry experience
