Front-end Developer
Travelers Haven seeks a Front-End Developer who wants to make an immediate impact on our Hotel Engine product (https://www.hotelengine.com).
You will work directly with the executive team and other business units to help shape the future of our company. Our team is small but focused on shipping quality product. We have big goals for 2017 and need more bandwidth to realize them.
The ideal candidate for this position has experience in web development, an eye for design, and attention to detail. You should have some experience in building richly featured apps using a front end framework like Angular and a desire to expand that skill set.
In this position, you will be collaborating with the design team, product owners, and other developers to build new customer facing features and enhance existing functionality.
Please be prepared to provide code samples or complete a coding exercise as part of the interview process. Remote candidates are encouraged to apply if they can start in Denver within four weeks after receiving an offer.
How We Work:
- We ship code daily to our CI, staging, and production environments. Build, deploy, and monitoring alerts are posted to Slack.
- We do two-week sprints with daily standups and biweekly grooming, planning, and retrospectives.
- We are good teammates who follow our working agreement. We’re looking for hard workers who don’t let their ego get in the way.
- We follow a part-time Work from Home schedule.
Desired Qualifications:
- At least 1 year of web development experience, preferably in an environment using using javascript frameworks
- Familiarity with Angular (Angular 2+ a plus)
- Proficiency with HTML, CSS, and SCSS
- Experience implementing responsive designs and an eye for detail
- Proficiency with javascript and working with the DOM
- Familiarity with git
- Familiarity with client side build tools such as gulp or webpack
- Design or art experience a plus
- Proven desire to learn
