Description
This position can be located in our Denver, Seattle, Chicago or New York office, though in-office work is not required until further notice due to Covid-19. This position can also be remote in select U.S. states if you are located in a city where we do not have an office.

Adswerve is seeking a driven and enthusiastic individual to lead a team within our dynamic Technical Services Department as a Director, Technical Services. This role focuses on the development and ultimate success of our Data Engineers, Data Scientists, Project Leaders, and client projects therein. Team and customer collaboration is essential, so we are looking for an individual who can add to the already thriving culture we have built within our team and our client base.
We are looking for an entrepreneurial-minded leader with a collaborative spirit. The Director, Technical Services will build on the groundwork that has been laid for our Technical Services practice that serves both internal stakeholders and external clients. This dynamic, forward-thinking leader will be the public face for the Technical Services Team and will work closely with leadership to meet company goals of establishing and growing a world-class Technical Services team.

This Role
- Reports to the VP, Technical Services
- Must have Data Engineering or Data Science experience and have experience developing and implementing processes and best practices for client-facing Services teams.
- The Director, Technical Services will work with a portfolio of clients that spans a variety of industries.
- Must have experience and desire to develop, mentor and lead a technical team
Responsibilities
- Under minimal supervision, lead a team of Technical Services managers and project leaders to encourage collaboration and drive client projects forward to achieve client goals.
- Manage and drive the development of Adswerve’s technical offerings
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships and relationships to support Adswerve’s technical services offerings
- Work with Adswerve clients to create successful Data Engineering and Data Science projects focused on client objectives and needs
- Lead development of business strategies for client portfolios and deliver profitable growth
- Responsible for supporting, developing, managing, and mentoring a team of growing data professionals, taking a managerial role
- Assist in sales, new business pitches and client upsells
- Provide thought leadership and innovative thinking to expand and integrate Adswerve’s technical services offerings with the rest of the organization
- Encourage client adoption of the full Google Marketing Platform technology stack, meanwhile leveraging these tools to meet and exceed client objectives
- Build deep and sustainable relationships with clients across all levels, including executive leadership
- Lead new business development across existing and net new clients
Required Skills & Experience Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience operating in a data analytics capacity at either an agency or within a marketing department of a digital-focused organization
- Strong proficiency in the cloud computing space especially the Google Cloud Platform
- Robust experience with the implementation of data warehousing and data science best practices
- Deep industry knowledge of marketing data warehousing and the tools to get the job done
- Experience maintaining a cloud implementation
- Familiarity with programming languages especially Python and JavaScript
- Previously held a director-level position with a proven background of managing and leading teams
- Experience with or familiarity with use cases and data outputs of Analytics tools like Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, etc.
- Experience building and presenting reports, dashboards, and data visualizations for clients via platforms like Data Studio, Tableau, etc.
- Familiarity with the Google Marketing Platform preferred
- Ability to communicate professionally with all levels of the organization
- Demonstrate high standards and good communication skills with subordinates, colleagues, suppliers, vendors, and others in the organization
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or advanced degree in Business, Technology, Marketing, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience managing multiple consultant projects in all phases of the consultancy lifecycle
- Deep knowledge of challenges faced within consultancy and IT Implementation projects including client relationship, technical and contractual challenges.
- Proven experience managing multiple teams in a highly collaborative environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assist Project Leads in solving for complex client requests
This position pays a base salary of $125,000 to $155,000 per year. The position is also eligible for a quarterly bonus based on individual and company performance. Wage differential is based on seniority, merit, geographic location, education, training and experience.
