POSITION SUMMARY
AdAction Interactive is looking to hire a driven, results-oriented Director of Software Development who shares our passion for technology, innovation and excellence in the ever evolving AdTech industry. You’ll work on an agile and growing team of high performing Product and Tech talent to deliver quality content across web and mobile channels. This is an integral and exciting role for our business that will be responsible for building the future tech stack of the company.
This person will be a hands-on developer and leader that excels in a dynamic, fast-moving and Agile environment and is passionate about developing high quality, high performance, and scalable software. You will serve as a technical expert in the design, development, coding, testing and debugging of new software. You’ll define and champion procedures to ensure quality code and efficient processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead development of new software technology and operational initiatives which may include, but are not limited to code architecture, development, unit testing and other related requirements.
- Own and lead the execution of projects through understanding technical details of modeling, architecture, and web/mobile systems.
- Manage technical details of estimating, prioritizing, and committing to features, initiatives, and infrastructure upgrades.
- Direct quality control programs for software development, software solutions and consistent operational procedures.
- Collaborate with Product Managers to design sprint plans.
- Participate in design reviews and recommend improvements.
- Provide code review and technical guidance for team members.
- Execute and deliver on the product road map.
- Ensure framework is scalable, reliable, well tested and bugs are handled appropriately.
- Manage and build a diverse team of engineers
- Establish process and infrastructure to scale and guide a team of engineers
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 6+ years of OOP development experience with 3+ years in web development specifically
- 2+ years in a lead/architect role
- 1+ years people management preferred
- 1+ years scaling tech teams
- Strong collaboration, prioritization, and adaptability skills required.
- Understanding of Agile software development concepts and processes.
- Passionate about writing clean, well organized, and production-ready code.
- Ability to be flexible while also striving for process and scale.
- Work collaboratively with multiple groups in a variety of settings and be able to listen, articulate positions, and advocate designs.
- At ease with ambiguity and brings grit to get things done.
- Experience in working in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Ability to drive multiple projects and tasks.
- Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure.
