We’re growing again and need a DevOps Engineer to join our team!

 A2Z Sync is a disruptor in the automotive industry—transforming the sales process into a transparent experience for customers and providing the tools necessary for dealers to transition to a single point of contact. 

Duties and Responsibilities 

This is an integral role needed to help scale our platform to rapidly meet demand and plan for future growth.

This position will be involved in all aspects of DevOps and System Administration in support of our SaaS application.  This includes designing and enhancing AWS cloud environments, and optimizing and maintaining CI/CD workflows.

We need an expert in AWS services (Networking, Compute, Databases, Logging and Metrics), Container Orchestration, DevOps tools, Infrastructure as code, and Cloud security.  This role is an essential part of a broad effort to bring together Architecture, Systems Engineering, Software Development, Quality, and Security to build automation solutions that are highly reliable, resilient, and extensible.

Our office is located in Denver, CO, but this position can be 100% remote. You’ll be expected to generally be available during core “office hours”, which are based on US Mountain Time.

Skills and Experience

Required

• Build and manage AWS cloud infrastructure and automation using Terraform/Ansible

• Build and manage CI/CD platform and release processes

• Deploy scalable and secure microservice applications

• Perform architecture and security reviews, identify gaps, and develop remediation plans

• Define, document, and maintain a strategic DevOps architecture roadmap that includes business, product, and technical considerations

• Staying up to date on new DevOps tools and techniques, and act as a driver of innovation and process maturity

• Computing cloud cost models, network topology, platform services, and common storage options

• SQL, REST, queuing frameworks

• DevOps tools: Ansible, Chef, Terraform, CloudFormation, Jenkins

• Extensive experience with logging and metrics tools

• Understanding of Blue/Green deployment strategies

• Experience with implementing auto-scaling strategies on AWS

• Experience with Linux server administration

• Experience with application and server monitoring

• Experience identifying and implementing security protocols to protect network resources and application data, including proficiency working with SSL/TLS certificates and VPN tunnels

• Working with the development and QA teams to maintain and enhance CI/CD workflows using tools such as Jenkins and CircleCI

• Experience with Docker or Kubernetes, or other container technologies

• 3 or more years of experience working with cloud architecture on AWS, including, but not limited to, EC2, RDS (MySQL), Elasticache, VPC, Security Groups, S3, and Cloudfront

• Comfortable with ambiguity and an ability to adapt quickly and easily to change

• Experience with Bash and PowerShell

• Experience configuring and optimizing Nginx, PHP-FPM, MySQL, and Redis

• Positive and flexible attitude

Preferred

• Expert level with Agile methodologies

• Hands-on experience with automated deployment of resources, Serverless deployments, Kubernetes clusters, AWS environments

• Experience with automated testing frameworks

• Strong coding experience

• Working with external APIs

Salary $130,000-$160,000/year
