DevOps Engineer, ODX

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer to contribute to the configuration and development of our platform automation.
As a DevOps Engineer at ODX, you will:
- Enable Development and Operations to build and deploy our applications from code to development and production environments
- Bring new automation technologies to bear and improve the quality of engineering efforts
- Own and drive improvements to our build and release scripts, tools and processes
- Build tools for internal use to support production engineering practices
- Ensure visibility into application viability and performance via monitoring, thresholding and alerting
- Create and maintain development, QA and production environments for ODX’s applications
Necessary qualifications for success:
- 2+ years experience with DevOps tools and/or release engineering experience
- 6+ years of general industry experience
- Deep experience with Linux system administration
- Familiarity with "infrastructure as code" best practices using tools like Ansible, Terraform, Docker, and CloudFormation
- Solid understanding/experience with web services, databases and relating infrastructure/architectures - able to perform CRUD operations across a number of different datasources
- Experience deploying and maintaining JVM-based systems
- Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment tools
- Strong scripting skills in Python or Bash
- Experience with Amazon Web Services and cloud computing best practices
- Experience with containers and serverless architectures
Nice-to-haves (not required):
- AWS certification in Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, or Developer
- Experience administering NGINX reverse proxy or app server.
- Knowledge of monitoring tools such as NewRelic, CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Zabbix
- Knowledge of delivery technologies, Load Balancers, DNS, CDNs, WAFs
- Experience debugging in and profiling of application stacks
- Artifact management systems
- Familiarity with git, including versioning, branching, and merging
- Java development experience
