Key member of the customer facing sales team having primary responsibility to lead the RingCentral Contact Center Solutions Engineering Team, focused on pre-sales engineering resources for all RingCentral Contact Center products and services. This role will interact directly with all levels of management on customer accounts. The Contact Center Sales Engineering Director at RingCentral requires excellent leadership, organizational, business, and technical skills to lead a team of Pre-Sales Contact Center Solutions Engineers engaging in product demonstrations, discovery sessions, RFI/RFP responses, and other initiatives. One of the goals of a Solutions Engineering Director at RingCentral is to ensure the constant advancement of the Solutions Engineers in their skills and knowledge to effectively compete in a global marketplace.
Hire and Lead a world-class team focused on delivering a unique, differentiated customer experience
Partner with the team to evaluate new technical solutions to meet or exceed prospect and customer requirements
Build development plans for team members to ensure successful onboarding and continuing education of the team
Assist with the development of formal sales plans and proposals for assigned opportunities
Balance the workload of the Contact Center Solutions Engineering team in concert with input from the Account Executives and Regional Sales Leaders
Transfer industry, technical, and product knowledge to Sales Engineers, and in turn to prospects and customers
Keep up-to-date on relevant competitive solutions, products and services
Support and participate with the Solutions Engineers in performing advanced technical presentations for customers, and prospects, remotely and in-person
Develop and maintain expert understanding of all RingCentral applications and products
Represent RingCentral at conferences, industry, and sales events
Actively participate as a SME for RingCentral products and technologies and provide consultative support through leadership of your Solutions Engineers
Qualifications & Skills:
7+ years of experience serving in the capacity of a Technical Sales/Solutions Engineer in a CCaaS (Contact Center as a Service) environment, or equivalent, relevant experience
Existing experience with NICE inContact solutions is a plus
5+ years of management experience in similar industries
Proven ability to provide technical leadership to the account team and engineers
Ability to teach other members of the team and effectively manage a team of highly skilled Contact Center Solutions Engineers
Must be able to coordinate across various groups and functional teams
Ability to apply solutions, technology and products to a business opportunity.
Willingness to travel regularly throughout assigned region
Knowledge and demonstrated operating experience in one or more of the following areas of specialization: Voice, Video, Mobile Communications
Knowledge of VoIP and data networking protocols
Understanding of customer communications requirements for enterprise business markets.
Competitive knowledge including solution, technology and product offerings.
Demonstrates the ability to excel at understanding and communicating complex technical solutions and issues.
Some understanding of software development technologies is desirable.
Some experience with project management and resource tracking desired.
Demonstrated ability to implement, drive and track projects.
Ability to review, analyze, and create strategies and action plans from reports and analytics tools is required. Experience using PowerBI and Salesforce.com is desirable.
