Job Description

The Cloud Security Engineer will implement and help drive security best practices to assure the security, integrity, and performance of Conga’s infrastructure, applications, and integrations within the AWS and Salesforce environments. This role will build security architecture, consult with other technology team members as they build and launch new products, proactively plan for the various security issues, and participate in incident response. The Cloud Security Engineer continually audits, monitors and analyzes our cloud infrastructure to ensure alignment to Conga’s overall security strategy.

Responsibilities:

• Develops reporting for cloud-based environments to meet security, performance, and monitoring requirements. Ensures all required security, governance, and compliance standards are met. 
• Supports internal and external audits and certification engagements, etc.
• Reviews and upgrades internal security policies and security controls.
• Continuously scans for and respond to policy violations.
• Identifies unaddressed areas of security weaknesses and drives thoughtfully engineered, scalable solutions to mitigate risks.
• Advises and oversees continuous improvement of company security policies and standards.
• Establishes and applies best practices to ensure successful implementation of security, network, and solution designs through collaborative project team communication, planning documentation, system testing, and defect resolution.
• Fosters a security-centric and consultative relationship with the business, Engineering, Product teams.
• Maintains enterprise-class security systems for production and corporate environments.
• Identifies and drives integration of approved new security technologies and best practices into the company’s Cloud offerings.
• Consults on projects regarding security architecture and risk management, including cloud environments, applications, and data security as well as on emerging technologies.
• Understands emerging security trends and integrates into the strategic direction of the Information Security and Compliance programs.

Qualifications

Experience, Skills and Competencies:

• Exceptional verbal communication, documentation, and reporting skills
• Ability to effectively communicate the risk impact of security controls or vulnerabilities to cross-functional stakeholders, including technical and non-technical audiences
• 5+ years of progressive experience in Information Technology, experience in SaaS industry strongly preferred.
• Strong familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems and cloud provider ecosystems like Amazon AWS.
• Strong knowledge of AWS foundation services related to compute, network, storage, content delivery, administration and security, deployment and management, automation technologies
• Familiarity using AWS Cloud Services (EC2, DynamoDB, API Gateway, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, Route 53, etc.)
• Superior teamwork capabilities. Must work well in cross-functional teams, including software engineers, marketing, account management, sales operations with the ability to provide solutions and incorporate constructive feedback.
• Ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment.

Certifications and Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience, Master’s degree or advanced related certifications preferred.
• AWS Associate or Professional Certification in Security, Architecture, DevOps, or SysOps.
