Overview
The Business Systems Engineer works with internal stakeholders to enhance all major business systems, build stable integrations with major systems, and simplify the systems environments whenever possible. The Business System Engineer will have a curious mind for problem solving and trying new solutions where legacy processes have been outgrown. This role will build systems to unlock hidden data and activation within the major systems.
Responsibilities

• Develop APEX and Visualforce solutions that follow Salesforce.com best practices and templating.
• Advocate for improvements to product quality, security, and performance.
• Respond quickly to bugs and the direction of company initiatives and transformation
• Work alongside Business System Administrators to turn business requirements into technical specifications and project approach
• Recognize impediments to our efficiency as a team, propose and implement solutions
• Maintain and improve integrations between Salesforce, Netsuite, Open Air, and any other systems with custom integrations
• Team with Business Systems Admins on creating efficient workflows for all areas of the business
• Other duties as discovered

Qualifications

• Knowledge of at least one other non-Apex language such as Ruby on Rails, Java, Javascript, PHP or Python recommended.
• Understanding of the Salesforce.com data model and how to effectively extract, transform and load data
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Curiosity of "how stuff works" and thinking for the future scalability of the company
• Previous experience working on a business operations team

Helpful for Success:

• B.A. /B.S. in IT-related field (Computer Science, Computer Applications, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Telecommunications, etc.) preferred
• Experience writing SQL queries.
• Experience with Business systems flows and processes
• Experience with Microsoft Visio for network topology diagramming
• Scripting skills
