Skills and Experience

Key responsibilities:

• Build automation frameworks for web applications, web services, and backend systems

• Utilize relevant open source testing tools

• Build and maintain automation frameworks

• Mentoring delivery teams in using, maintaining, and adding additional test coverage to automation frameworks

• Build and maintain automation into CICD pipelines

• Increase automation stability by containerizing test environments

• Add visibility to code quality, coverage, and security via sonarqube, or something similar

• Implement monitoring and alerting of test environments based on automation 

Requirements and experience:

• Hands-on programming experience with Javascript, Java, Python, Bash, or another language

• Automation career focused

• Experience in building automation frameworks (Cypress, Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Pytest, etc)

• Knowledge of databases (MySQL, etc)

• Comfortable at a shell prompt

• Understanding of source control

• Understanding of modern DevOps concepts 

• Knowledge of CICD practices

• Good ability to manage priorities and requirements from multiple applications or teams

• Strong verbal and written communication skills 

• Ability to work within a strongly collaborative environment
