Department overview:
The Production Engineering function is responsible for the maintenance, support, and general improvement of many of the key IT infrastructure products within IHS Markit. This includes, but is not limited to, Enterprise Monitoring, Windows and Linux Services, Networking, and Platform Automation.
Position summary
We are looking for an experienced IT Engineer who can serve as both a people leader as well as a Splunk subject matter expert within our Enterprise Monitoring product group within Production Engineering.
Candidate should have formal leadership experience within a medium to large organization and should be comfortable managing a small team of 3-5 analysts.
Candidates should be able to provide expertise in maintaining, evolving, and integrating the Splunk platform within the firm, ensuring on-going smooth operation as well as designing, planning for, and implementing future integrations and enhancements.
Experience with managing and deploying services in AWS is also essential, as the organization is undergoing a cloud transformation.

IHS Markit invests significantly in current technology and this role will involve evolving the Splunk architecture and integrations for modern converged IT infrastructure including several different flavours of cloud.
The successful candidate will be a key technical and architectural resource for Splunk, providing guidance, leadership and hands-on technical know-how for all matters Splunk.
IHS Markit engineers are expected to stay abreast of general industry trends and how they can bring value to its customers.
For work locations in the state of Colorado, the anticipated minimum base salary for this role is $91,000. Compensation will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the applicant.
