The Network Engineering team lies at the foundation of Zoom's success. We are looking for Automation and Telemetry Developers to help us define, standardize, and automate or data center infrastructure, moving to a true infrastructure as code environment. You will be working with other automation engineers and network engineers to help build and maintain the systems and code that allows us to provide an always available and performant network, supporting our customers and internal engineering teams in the delivery of Zoom services.
What you will do:

• Work with other automation and networking engineers to deliver standardized processes and enforcement mechanisms for deployment and operational activities.
• Develop and maintain pipelines and systems release processes for build and change activities.
• Develop and maintain telemetry systems and code for the continuous monitoring of networks, including key measures and alarming thresholds.
• Develop automated remediation for system faults to remove points of failure in networks.
• Develop and maintain dashboards that report on the overall health and observational metrics for our networks and performance.

Requirements:

• BA/BS, graduate degree or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Network Engineering, or a related STEM field
• Strong skills in Python, shell, Go, or related language.
• Familiarity with key technologies such as Ansible, Jinja, Docker.
• Familiarity with pipelines, deployment automation, and testing methodologies for pipeline and deployment activities.

Bonus Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of networking fundamentals, including routing (OSPF, BGP), IP (TCP/UDP), and network communications.
• Working knowledge of firewalls, security principles, and IP packet analysis.
