Our clients run creative agencies, SaaS products, online stores, fitness studios, franchises, law firms, bars/restaurants, and salons/spas.  We work directly with founders and CEOs to provide crucial insight into the performance of their business when they need it the most. They are highly analytical and very busy, and want to know which dials to turn in order to turn their business into a well-oiled machine that is highly profitable and liquid, and attractive to investors, bankers, or potential buyers. We are seeking an experienced freelance interface/product designer to lead design of a new software product that Accountingprose is developing called Kaya Insights.

Kaya Insights is a live financial dashboard that empowers data-forward business owners to quickly assess their financial and non-financial KPIs to keep a pulse on the financial health of their company, understand trends, and make informed decisions to successfully grow their business. Kaya aggregates key business metrics from a variety of data sources including accounting software, payroll software, and CRMs, to provide a live dashboard and automated reports with up-to-date and accurate financial information.

This is a remote, short-term contract design job with potential to become a full-time role.

Responsibilities

• Lead product interface design of the Kaya Insights web application.
• Collaborate with our software development team to design the product, including the web interface, dashboard, charts, reports, and email templates.
• Create production-ready interface designs and assets to be implemented by our developers. Delivered assets will ultimately depend on your expertise and design process.

Requirements

• The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing and building web software and can deliver functional prototypes as static HTML/CSS/JS assets that can be integrated by our developers. Even better if you have experience with Typescript and React and can take an active role in the front-end development responsibilities, but this is not required.
• Experience designing data- and metrics-heavy interfaces, dashboards, charts, and reports that are beautiful and easy to understand.
• Excellent communication skills. Experience working remotely is preferred but not required.
