Your ImpactWe’re looking for a Staff Product Designer who will focus on excellence in design execution across the portfolio, working closely with and mentoring and coaching other designers, as well as setting up systems and processes to enable high-quality work. As a staff product designer, apart from close collaboration with your Head of Design, you’ll partner with peers in product and engineering to ensure great design is happening and that we remain laser-focused on the user. You’ll be a senior decision maker, and together with the Design Managers and the Chief Design Officer, you’ll set the direction for design at Handshake.Your Role
  • As a Staff Product Designer, you will lead work from concept to delivery to inform product strategy and shape users’ experience
  • Partner with product, research, and engineering to ensure projects are well defined, high impact, and successfully executed.
  • Develop and improve a shared product design language across all student surfaces reflective of our brand.
  • Up level the entire team through commitment to growth and mentorship
Your Experience
  • 7+ years experience working with engineers and product managers to drive strategy, vision, and execution
  • Demonstrated experience leading design on consumer products across web and mobile.
  • Familiarity with human centered/user centered design methodology and techniques
  • A collaborative, no ego, approach to working with others
  • A portfolio of impeccably executed consumer product design
  • University degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Centered Design, Sociology, Psychology, Information Science, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
Compensation

$175,000 - $185,000

Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including geographic location as well as candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.

  • 🏝Up to 25 days of vacation to encourage people to reset, recharge, and refresh, in addition to 8 bank holidays throughout the year.
