Graphic Designer
About SonderMind
The need for mental health support has never been more acute yet there are frustrations abound for individuals unable to access care. With our recent successful Series B round of funding (https://tcrn.ch/3bXyvQW), our rapidly growing team is more prepared than ever to redesign behavioral health to become more accessible, approachable and utilized. If you enjoy a challenge and being part of a mission with big aspirations, SonderMind may be the place for you!
About this Role
SonderMind is seeking a Graphic Designer to develop creative and engaging marketing collateral (for print, web, email, and social media marketing campaigns) to advance our mission of redesigning behavioral healthcare. All graphic designs will support our brand, increase awareness and engagement, and help promote a positive reputation for SonderMind’s growing client and provider network.
As our ideal candidate, you thrive in a fast-paced, team environment and think creatively on any budget and under any time frame. We expect you to fully own the quality of the final design output and to be deeply passionate about the copy you are working with. We are not looking for an individual to JUST make visually appealing designs - we want a designer not a decorator!
Expected Outcomes:
- End of month 1: Understand SonderMind’s brand guidelines, audit current asset library, and have the ability to develop and manage graphic design solutions for current/upcoming marketing requests. This includes contributing creative ways to build our asset library.
- End of month 2: Familiarity with the brand to begin suggesting improved design templates for print, collateral, web, email, and social media advertising campaigns.
- End of year 2020: Maximize production efforts by streamlining processes for all mediums and help create an extensive content library to support expansion of provider/client network.
Gotta Have:
- Creative Portfolio with samples (for multiple mediums) that demonstrate integrated brand campaign thinking, as well as design capabilities
- At least three years of professional design experience
- Ability to use industry best practices to develop ready-to-use assets for multiple mediums
- High proficiency using Adobe Creative Suite (primarily Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) to create and manage marketing materials
- Collaborative mentality, grace under pressure, and strong organizational skills
Nice to Have:
- An understanding of industry guidelines for print production
- An interest in creating motion graphics, illustrations, or video content
- Experience working with contracted designers in a collaborative and communicative way
Benefits:
- Experience and Career Growth. You will be part of the core team as the company is in the midst of a major growth phase. As an early contributor, your design decisions will have an exponential impact on the business.
- Startup Environment. From our great downtown location, to unlimited coffee and healthy snacks, to a 2019 Best Place to Work office culture, things are changing and improving EVERY SINGLE DAY.
- Benefits. SonderMind provides exceptional employee benefits including covering the majority of dental, vision, and medical premiums. 401K matching for up to 4% salary deferred.
- Stock Option Grant. We want all of our team to be focused on long-term success and growth. Stock options will be granted after a 90-day probationary period.
- Mandatory Vacations. We’ve read the research and it is clear – employees who take vacation are more productive, happier and compensated more. SonderMind has a mandatory MINIMUM 3-week vacation policy for exempt employees.
- Competitive Start-Up Salary. We all need to eat, right?
How to apply:
Submit a resume and a portfolio of previous work that includes multiple mediums (must be included in order to be considered)
