Digital Experience Designer at pax8
Essential Responsibilities (includes, but is not limited to):
- Working collaboratively with content, design, and other stakeholders to develop new wireframes and builds, while simultaneously conducting comprehensive and ongoing audits of all existing web properties; designs, builds, and develops custom, responsive WordPress themes
- Works with manager to provide guidance to internal stakeholders on performance-centric designs by leveraging data-driven insights to ensure successful, measurable results; proactively presents new ideas to improve our web experiences
- Works with Internal Development team to build responsive, future-facing functionality across all web properties
- Attends and actively participates in weekly team meetings and project status check-ins to ensure feasibility and functionality of digital properties
- Adapts Pax8 brand in ongoing projects as the brand evolves
Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:
- At least five (5) years of directly relevant UX experience
- Proven expertise building and managing WordPress websites
- An excellent eye for visual design, and a great instinct for SEO and UX best practices
- Good understanding of PHP, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
- Experience working with digital interactive content and/or landing page builders; experience with Ceros preferred
- Ability to convert mockups and wireframes into working, responsive webpages across platforms and browsers
- Experience designing responsive websites using industry-standard design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, XD, etc.)
- Experience working with popular WordPress page builders, particularly Elementor and Yoast
- Ability to take on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm
- Ability to develop and deliver multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences
- Ability to build strong customer relationships and deliver customer centric solutions
- Ability to actively learn through experimentation when tackling new problems, using both successes and failures as learnings
- Ability to see ahead to future possibilities and translate them to breakthrough strategies
- Demonstrated ability to self-manage, work independently, and meet expectations and deadlines

- Ability to design and develop (front-end), with specific comfortability with: Wireframes, design mockups, writing code, creating custom post types, configuring page builders, capturing dark wizards, launching sites, and all the odds and ends that come in between
- Good understanding of conversion-centric designs by building full-funnel, optimized journeys that follow all SEO, design, and coding best practices
Required Education & Certifications:
- B.A./B.S. in Design, Graphic Design, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent work experience
Compensation:
- Qualified candidates can expect a salary beginning at $72,000 or more depending on experience
