Business Support Specialist
The Business Support Specialist will enable the business and supporting functions to provide world-class supply chain support to our Suppliers and Clients. Changes to existing engagements or supporting new implementations are key to this role.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- This position ensures compliance with applicable regional, local, and U.S. export and import control laws and regulations concerning the movement of goods and services across borders, in order to protect Arrow from fines, penalties and publicity resulting from violations.
- The position acts as a liaison among several internal groups across Arrow businesses such as IT, Legal, Tax, Sales, logistics, Asset Management, Operations, and others in an effort to ensure proper adherence to trade management and trade control laws and regulations.
- The position provides support on import and export regulations for global inbound and outbound supply chains and may implement or redesign processes with external freight forwarders, brokers, and couriers.
You’ll also:
- Provide analysis & regulatory guidance on preferential warehousing and trade agreement programs, and country specific regulations.
- Conduct and report on internal business assessments regarding supply chain and trade control procedures, including implementation and measuring success.
- Design and implement solutions for business projects, including customer & supplier supply chain support, and for internal compliance matters.
- Support integration of Arrow trade management & compliance processes with new businesses post acquisition.
- Support new or changing Customer Engagements, System Migrations and Software Integrations for Trade Management & Compliance Requirements.
- Manage metrics reporting process, including data analysis and recommendations to management
What We’re Looking For:
- A 4 year degree
- 2–4 years of related experience including:
- Strong background in supply chain
- Project management experience
- Process improvement
- Data Analytics
- Understanding of U.S. trade compliance
