Sr Functional Analyst - Digital Business

Primary purpose of the position:
This role resides in the IT Global Service Delivery organization, supporting Ball business operations globally. This role has responsibility to partner with other IT teams on a local and global level for projects, business as usual and operational support. Solid Business Process acumen with the ability to translate business requirements into business solutions.
Essential Responsible Areas:
- This is an operational and delivery position requiring an understanding of the overall Ball Business and Business Process .
- Ability to translate Business demand requirements into IT specifications, solution design, and complete configuration for implementation.
- The functional analyst role is responsible for adherence to global strategic platform guidelines.
- Provide planning, estimates, application development, documentation, and support leadership using technology best practices.
- This role has an obligation to fully understand the Demand and Change Management Processes, associated SLA’s and IT Standard operating procedures.
- To produce complete and meaningful High Level Estimates (HLE’s) based on demand requests .
- Participates as a key contributor in the design and development of complex applications and projects and is the expert in the technology selected.
- Accountable to drive and ensure deliverables are complete based on defined timelines .
- Responsible for detailed specifications, derives estimates, and assigns component development tasks to the onshore/offshore development teams.
- Responsible for knowledge transfer to IT operations.
- Responsible for participating on operational readiness review , Disaster Recovery & Business continuity
- To ensure ongoing support of deployed solutions is handled in the correct manner from both a Business and Ball IT perspective, therefore minimizing Business impact
- Provide functional escalation support for IT operations.
- To effectively work in a Global Organization .
- Build proactive and collaborative relationships with all teams internal or external

- Participate in continuous improvement processes for operations and service delivery
- Adhere to key KPI metrics such as SLA’s and OLA’s
- Responsible for complying with software development life cycle (SDLC) policies to ensure delivery of quality solutions
- As a lead review software/hardware specifications
- Performs requirements analysis
- Conduct and participate in design review meetings
- Supports project management tasks, such as estimating and planning dependencies/risks.
- Implementation (e.g., installation, configuration, programming/customization, integration, data migration)
- Conduct peer to peer Code reviews
- Coordinate and perform unit testing. Reviews test plans/strategies to ensure software quality.
- Participates in software release and post-release activities, including hypercare support.
- Proven understanding and knowledge of interfaces or applications.
- Ability to travel regionally & internationally .
Position Requirement & competencies:
- 5 - 7 years of experience in JD Edwards Manufacturing in a discrete/continuous manufacturing environment
- Experience with Manufacturing Accounting Processes and Plant Equipment Maintenance
- 2 Plus years DMAAI experience
- 1-2 JDE full cycle implementations, desired
- 2-5 years of experience in procurement configuration and support
- Bachelor’s degree required - Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent
- Experience in Source Systems Analysis, Business Rules Validation, Integration with external tools and reporting
- ITIL experience or knowledge desirable
- Experience in Global IT operations environment is key
- MS Office, MS Outlook, MS Visio and MS Project
- Strong analytical skills and ability to resolve problems are desired.
- A desire to work within a fast-paced, collaborative, and team-based support environment
- Excellent communications skills to include fluency in English - both written and verbal
- Ability to work as part of a team or independently
- Strong knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
Compensation & Benefits
- Hiring Salary Range: $ 77,500 - 115,500 (Salary to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
- Job Grade: 11
- Other Compensation: This role will be eligible to participate in the annual incentive compensation plan.
