POSITION SUMMARY:

The Research Associate – Custom assay development position is responsible for assisting in the design, development, and evaluation of Archer custom products utilizing Archer’s AMP technology. As familiarity with AMP-based NGS increases, novel approaches to experimental design and development of new NGS products will be expected. This position is a key part of the greater RUO Assay Development team, requiring strong communication skills.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Job performance will involve a variety of activities including:

  • Assay Design
  • Library preparation and sequencing.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and developing laboratory assays
  • Data analysis
  • Development of new data analysis techniques.
  • Maintain documentation in accordance with quality system requirements
  • Review, understanding, and compliance with ArcherDX HIPAA Security policies and procedures.

 

EXPERIENCE:

  • 2+ years of laboratory experience,
  • 2+ years in an industry setting (preferred).
  • Proficiency working with large datasets.
  • Familiarity with bioinformatics.
  • Next Generation Sequencing experience is a plus.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Driven and determined.
  • Ability to participate with others as a member of a team.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Self-starter.

EDUCATION:
