POSITION SUMMARY:
The IT Database Administrator will: Support ArcherDX Enterprise Systems and ancillary application data bases and data structures. They will work closely with the CRM/ERP system administrator, suppliers and customers to understand data usage and requirements. Provides accurate, real-time data to support business decision making. Work with Business Analyst and across the organization with many different stakeholders to determine information needs. In this role, the candidate will interpret data requirements, and develop queries, extracts and reports to fulfill information needs. He/she will also participate in data migration and software validation initiatives.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Job performance will involve a variety of activities including:

  • Analyzes database and system performance to optimize transactions
  • Designs, develops, and implements environments to support data analytics
  • Performs data extraction, transformation, and loading into databases or systems
  • Advises business analysts on methods to query and use data effectively
  • Performs data migration and validation to ensure data integrity
  • Supports remote database environments such as; AWS RDS, Azure, Google
  • Assists with the data portion of CSV efforts, including assistance with execution of the test plan, assembly of test results into a validation package, and addressing concerns and findings raised by quality assurance personnel.
  • Documents and develops in-depth knowledge of applications and interfaces used to support the business process and data analytics.
  • Dedicated to quality client service and pro-active and responsive to client needs.
  • Troubleshoot problems and develops bridge-building solutions that improve relationships.
  • Participates in the development of specifications and ongoing management of proposals and contracts for hardware, software, and services.

EXPERIENCE:

Required

  • Experience as an IT Database Administrator 1 – 3 years. Experienced with database setup, configuration, data management, construction of data warehouses, data cleansing, data archival, and data migration. (required)
  • Experience with several relational databases in an enterprise setting; PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server, and or Oracle (required)
  • Experience with remotely hosted environments such as; AWS

Preferred

  • Experience with ERP/CRM systems.
  • Programming experience with SQL, Python, Java, JavaScript
  • Experience with non-product Computer System Validation

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or, equivalent of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job may be considered
