POSITION SUMMARY:

 

Data analytics is a crucial part of our company, turning Study data gathered from the use of our reagents and software into filings with the FDA and other regulatory bodies. Our goal is to turn data into information, information into insights and insights into tools for doctors to make the best possible choices for their patient’s cancer treatment. The analyst will be responsible for processing, analyzing and reporting upon NGS data within our Data Sciences and Analytics team. The data analyst will work with and communicate across Assay development, Software, Data Management, Biostatistics and Report writing in the course of their work. The data analyst will participate in developing, maintaining and supporting software and infrastructure within the Data Sciences and Analytics group. The data analyst must be competent at developing code, be comfortable work closely with colleagues to analyze data sets and be able to communicate clearly and succinctly. The data analyst should have experience working with a regulated environment where compliance to the principals of GCP and applicable regulations to support data aggregation and results reporting.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Job performance will involve a variety of activities including:

  • Applying the tools and disciplines of data analytics to NGS and Cancer biology
  • Partner with team members to define the data aggregation needs of a study and to implement these quickly and accurately
  • Use knowledge of regulated environments to obtain, manage, query, and produce auditable data
  • Interpret data, analyze results and craft narratives around insights derived through the data
  • Use SQL to develop ad hoc queries for data stored across multiple tables and databases
  • Use programming skills in R and Python to initiate, develop and maintain necessary tools and infrastructure for the team
  • Filter and “clean” data within ArcherDx’s data analytics platform and identify potential enhancements to source systems to improve quality of data collected
  • Coordinate within the unit to define data requirements, ETL flows, development, and testing/validation in support of study design, management and execution
  • Use skills and knowledge of AWS tools and technologies to deploy tools, use existing infrastructure, analyze data and share results

 

EXPERIENCE: 

  • MSc or higher in statistics, biostatistics, or related field
  • 2+ years of relevant industry experience including biostatistics, NGS and/or Cancer biology
  • Experience with development tools, environments and practices for data analytics
  • Experience working with AWS technologies
  • Expertise in creative data analysis and best practices in data visualization
  • Familiarity with analyzing studies and/or clinical trial data
  • Expertise with R, Python, SQL and noSQL
  • Experience working in a fast-paced regulated environment
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to be a team player

EDUCATION:

  • MSc, PhD in Biostatistics, Bioinformatics or other relevant scientific discipline
