Sr Network Security Engineer
At Zoom, we are seeking an experienced Network Security Engineer to join the Security Operations team. This role will be instrumental in defining the Zoom’s Network Security posture within Zoom security.
What we are looking for:
Ability to design, implement and operate network security technologies in mixed environments from on-premises to public cloud.(e.g., AWS, Azure, OCI).
Drive continuous improvement of network security workflows and processes through automation and innovation
Drive definition and enforcement of network security policies
Iterate network security posture to better protect against attacks and detect new attack vectors
Develop and document network security reference architectures, design patterns, roadmaps, and other architectural artifacts aligned with policies, standards and industry best practices.
Be able to think like a hacker and build solution that will protect the environment
Great understanding of IPS, IDS, DMF, NDR
Understanding foundation for proper alerting and monitoring for network appliance
Experience in working in a dynamic and fast paced environment
Ability to determine company needs and coordinate the development and maintenance of network infrastructures with MSP & internal IT team.
Ensuring secure and stable server connectivity and testing network protocols.
Experience in testing data exchange and communication between computers, routers, modems, and servers.
Experience in running diagnostic tests and performing repairs, as well as developing backup, archiving, and data retrieval procedures.
Passionate about mentoring and training junior IT staff, preparing runbooks, and providing remote or onsite technical support
Provide optimum customer service to a wide variety of users through professional commitment and dedication
Experience:
Strong knowledge in security fundamentals: secure transport (e.g., SSL, TLS), identity management (e.g., certificates, PKI)
Experienced in securing networks at scale, along with network security techniques and technology (e.g. authentication, DMZs, firewalls, microsegmentation, network ACLs, proxies, zero trust).
Solid hands-on technical background particularly in managing highly complex, multi-platform environments (servers, storage, networks, security, virtualization, systems monitoring and management).
Design, build, and maintain DDOS solutions and implement security controls
Experience in network design processes, including understanding of security objectives, operational objectives, and trade-offs.
Management/review of network device security configuration and architecture
Familiar with packet analysis tools (e.g. wireshark, tcpdump etc.)
Experienced in Network security platforms, including segmentation, ACLs, DPI, DDoS protection, iptables, ipsec, VPN, IDS, firewall management platforms, switch ACLs, stateful firewalls, network segmentation, security zones
Qualifications
US work authorization
Network Security Specialist: 2+ years (Preferred)
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information science, or similar.
Certified CompTIA, Microsoft, or Cisco network professionals preferred.
Extensive knowledge of network connectivity, technologies, protocols, and security.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
Great organizational and time management skills and familiarity with agile methodologies
Availability to perform network repairs outside of business hours, including occasional travel, evening and weekend shifts as well as experience working with NOC/SOC
Colorado Salary Range or On Target Earnings:
Minimum:
$97,920.00 USD
Maximum :
$181,170.00 USD
In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed, Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration base salary, bonus and equity value. We also have a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in other locations.
