How You Fit In:

As part of the Risk Team of Reserve Trust you’ll play a critical role in the development and operation of our risk program. To be successful in this role, you must be able to translate key risk concepts, business processes, and regulatory guidance into program documents. You should be comfortable thinking outside the box and creating bespoke solutions that work for our unique company at its current maturity. You have no problem juggling numerous priorities at once, navigating complex situations, and executing key deliverables amid a constantly evolving environment. You are comfortable operating independently with minimal supervision while balancing projects for multiple stakeholders, including leadership across the organization.

 

This role reports to the Director of Enterprise Risk and will partner and collaborate with key stakeholders, ensuring the development of robust program documentation for a rapidly developing function.

 

What You’ll Do:

· Support the Enterprise Risk function in oversight of policy and procedure governance.

· Draft, revise and maintain policies, standards, procedures and other documentation in support of all risk functions at Reserve Trust.

· Lead functional areas through policy, standard, procedure and other document development and revision efforts and where necessary, coordinate process to attain content.

· Gather, analyze and incorporate requirements for documentation by working with functional areas and subject matter experts to obtain in-depth understanding of applications, systems, products and processes and ensure information is accurately documented.

· Drive the planning, tracking and preparing of new and revised policies, standards, procedures and other documentation, including coordination of stakeholder, owner, management, committee, and Board review and approval where necessary.

Create workflows identifying risks and controls within each documented process for procedures identified internally as critical or high-risk.

Translate complex concepts into plain, easy to understand language.

Maintain and update templates, tools, and systems pertaining to policy and procedure administration and maintenance.

Gather and keep current documentation metadata for inclusion in system of record.

Follow established guidelines for organization and design of work

Follow all Reserve Trust policies and procedures.

Perform all job responsibilities on a timely basis and to a high standard of excellence.

Perform duties specific to the position and other functions as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

Preferred minimum of 5+ years’ experience as a technical writer or equivalent, preferable for a financial services company or other highly regulated industry

Preferred Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university with a degree in English, Writing, or Communications

Experience in a startup environment, working at a FinTech, or working with a FinTech preferred

Experience creating program documents for rapidly growing company preferred

Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and meet defined deadlines

Superior written and oral communication and grammar skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, Lucidchart, Asana or similar tools

We feel passionately about equal pay for equal work, and transparency in compensation is one vehicle to achieve that. Total compensation for this role is market competitive, including a base salary range of $80,000 – 100,000. Reserve Trust intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience and location.
